Upon the email of FR. Denny Lucas, I attended the DWCL Alumni reunion Dec 30 in Laoag. Honorees were the class batches of 1958 GOLDEN and 1983 Silver. The silver guys are younger, more active so they were the organizers movers.

The 1958 batches of Elemetary.. that's us guys.. HS 1962. The HS 1958 group was Arthur Senen amd Mr Bautista in the pictures in this blog. Anyway in our drinking session at Max ( we drink beer na and Fundador for Hugo ... not beer gin coke ),we remember that the HS 1962 team can beat the college team at that time. With such superstars like leftie Oscar Tumaneng, forward jumpshooter Henry Chua and magulang guard Maning Pascual. And do not forget me Bong, I was also a member of this dream team. That was 45 years and 45 pounds ago. During those years, basketball was the common denominator and then beer gin coke from mang marnies corner store at the basketball court.

I nagged benjie datoc and Reny valenciano to come to laoag. But Rene had his son from Australia visting. Benjie had to attend a funeral of his relative babang cabanos. Was he the ex president of Veterans Bank? Orlino Arroyo had his angioplasty procedure; and he is okay. The Doctor has to close a valve somewhere.

We had a drinking reunion?? at max. BUt only light drinking except Hugo who had fundador. Sayang Reny valenciano was not around-we were ready to carry him back home just like the last time. Who were there? See the pictures. Willy Peralta is retring from CAB. Oscar Tumaneng is still Oscar-has a son with NOKIA in Morocco-thats near Spain. Hugo has 2 daughters I know-January who prints my email so his dad can read it and another who works at Smart Baguio.Now I know why Hugo is out of town often enjoying the City of Pine Trees. Dionidan Cid was also at the session and Cesar Balais and another friend.

1958 vs 2007 pictures-50 yrs make a difference

Here is the HS 1962 class reunion pictures taken in 2007. Some of the guys in this picture are in the 1958 elem class pictures. This is a time span of 50 years- grey hair and wrinkles and eyeglasses.

I am going to make this a contest and give a prize to the 1st guy/gal who can ID and match on this picture vs 1958 pictures posted in my earlier blog. I will ask Fr. Denny to help.

Medard Monroy Dies in an accident May 19, 2007

Our dear classmate, Medard, died in an accident May 19, 2007. He was on his way to Pasuquin to visit his chicken farm. His car hit a tree.

I went to Laoag on June 19 to visit his grave and the family. This is the video of his grave in Laoag. But you can remember him in the video in this blog site during our 2007 reunion. I can send you a DVD disk on our reunion video. bong vallejos
